I have been working in Early Years for over 23 years, I have a level 5 in Early Years and am also Forest School trained. I have a passion for teaching in the early years and seeing how children learn and develop in their first stage of life is so important and of course supporting parents in all stages of the early years. I am also SENCo trained and support any additional. We as a team are like a family I work closely in all rooms and support staff with teaching methods with my knowledge.
I consider myself a committed, creative, and enthusiastic educator who believes in making learning fun for children. My 21 years’ experience in schools and nurseries has taught me that parents are children’s first educators, making communication with them vital to children’s learning and development. I am passionate about providing a stimulating and natural learning environment for children; especially considering the nature deficit created because of lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the years, I have developed the leadership skills crucial to inspiring and motivating teams into working together to create an ethos of quality, learning, care, and development for all children.
I have been a member of Walton Montessori nursery since 2018, where I was an agency member of staff, before 2018. I have experience in all room’s and will get very creative and messy with the children. I have a passion for the outside space and Forest School, where I set up activities for all children to learn and develop with support from staff and myself. I love to watch the children develop and build in confidence.
I have been at Walton Montessori since 2016. I really do enjoy this nursey as I have multiple experiences of seeing these children thrive and grow into mini mums and dad’s, it’s been lovely to see them from the beginning in baby room to the start of their academic years in school. I try different recipes to enhance their knowledge of different foods, I hope it’s been a journey that everyone will continue to enjoy and not be afraid of trying something new in the world of food. There is lots to explore and try. I hope I have set them on a road of which they will not be afraid of trying something new.
I’m level 3 qualified in Early Years, I have been in childcare for 10 years and have experienced from babies up to preschool. In my career I love to be creative and help children learn through interesting activities. My hobbies are to spend time with my family and my little boy. I love going on walks to the park in my spare time with my family.
I have worked in the early years industry since April 2018. I am currently working towards my BA (Hons) Degree in Leadership and Management in Early Years. I am a qualified childcare professional who has a responsibility for the day to day running of their room. I feel it is important to perform a role caring for children, maintaining a high quality, stimulating learning environment, supervising staff, imparting their knowledge and skills to others. I am very creative and will continuously reflect on ways to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and support management team.
I started at Walton Montessori after finishing my PGSE, I began as a practitioner and now I am proudly working as Chestnuts (pre-school) Classroom Leader. The most rewarding part of working here is watching the children grow and develop. The teachers here a passionate, hardworking, and supportive creating a great community.
I chose to embark on a second career in Childcare in 2019, having previously worked abroad in Travel for well over a decade. My son had been enrolled in Walton Montessori since he was 2, when the whole nursery was upstairs, in one room. Once ILG started the expansion I got talking to Maria Colwell who convinced me to come and join them. Which I was delighted to do! I had 6 months at the setting before Harrison went off to school and was known by all the children as ‘Harrisons Mummy!’. I started in the Baby Room with Charley when it had only been open for a few months, then once my son left for school, I re-joined Charley in the Toddler Room where we are today. Every day is different, and I thoroughly enjoy watching the children grow and develop, as well as watch their little characters come out as they gain confidence. I am currently finishing my Level 3 qualification which has been hard in my old age! My favorite thing to do with the children is to sing and dance which they also enjoy.
I started at Walton Montessori in the baby room, and I loved seeing them blossom into their personality’s and how much it taught me about early years. I am currently studying my level 3 diploma in early years and hope to move on to complete a SEND-CO course in the future. Now I work as a practitioner in toddler room, and it is so rewarding helping the children thrive and develop in their own ways.
I have been working at Walton Montessori from July 2021. I worked in Willow room when I first started but now, I’m one of the team in Elm room. Before I began to work at Walton Montessori, I did my childcare level 2 at Brooklands college before going to Danesfield Manor School to do my Level 3 childcare Apprenticeship. Working here at Walton Montessori is so rewarding, watching the children grow and develop in the time that they are here.
Being part of the Early Years Sector for over 8 years brought me the joy not only to develop as a practitioner, completing Level 2 and Level 3 as an Early Years Educator but also to work with children and watching them grow and develop. I have completed several training courses related to children’s development, Safeguarding and SEN, and the most resent one is Nursery Management and Leadership Level 4, which supported the further development of my leading skills.
I have been working at Walton Montessori for over a year now and I’m currently a practitioner in baby room. I will be working towards my level three in early years which will help me progress in the future. I love seeing the children develop their own personalities and then finally grow into little independent individuals.
I completed a level 3 Diploma in childcare in 2010 and a level 3 diploma in leadership and management in 2016. I have worked in childcare since 2010 and have a child of my own, which is an experience in itself. The reason I choose childcare, I believe children are gifts that keep on giving. Your children are all amazingly clever in their own way and to know that I have been a part of that or helped in any little way means I can leave work with a smile on my face each day. With an amazing team at Walton Montessori, it makes each day more enjoyable.
I am a dedicated, and enthusiastic practitioner, developing and fostering the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children according to their age, ability, and aptitude. I am a compassionate, creative, effective teacher with valuable experience in classroom administration, professional development, and activity planning. I believe that student learns the best when they are in a positive learning environment, where they feel safe, welcomed, comfortable, and free to speak their mind and blossom and grow.
I have been in early years for over 4 years. I study level 2 early year education in Kingston college and have been working in childcare ever since. I enjoy helping children develop and grow in their early stages of their life’s.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Enjoying the outdoors, I play netball on Friday evening with my friends.
I joined Walton Montessori in September 2022, and it’s my first time working with children in their early years. I’ve had a wonderful experience here and enjoy being a part of the team. Additionally, I’m currently studying for a degree in Psychology with the goal of pursuing a career in child psychology.
I am a self-motivated and dynamic professional with experience in relevant fields. With a strong awareness and passion for learning and development, I enjoy being part of organisations to promote good positive learning techniques. Now working in a position within an exciting, proactive organisation where I am contributing to the work alongside colleagues to develop resources. I have a total 14 years (approximately) of work experience in different profiles like primary teacher, customer care, admission counsellor and administration. As part of my career, I have started as a Primary school teacher with daily classroom management, monitoring students behaviour and individual student progress. Being in the education field, I clearly understand the level of student management and this knowledge matched with my work competencies.
My passion is to progress and develop my skills within the kitchen environment, gaining experiences and learn new knowledge. I would like to establish a long-term career in this company where I am able utilize my professional skills and knowledge to be an effective chef and inspire to those around me. I believe that mealtimes should be social, happy times where skills can be developed, and foods tasted! I strongly feel that a healthy diet means a content and happy child. The chef and I prepare nourishing and healthy meals fresh every day. We provide a balanced breakfast, together with mid-morning snacks, a hot lunch and “high” tea. I believe a balanced menu that supports every child’s developmental needs.
